Stewarding obedience well requires that we first know God’s discipline in our own lives and how He desires that we obey Him because He wants to bless us. He knows we can obey because He is able to give us the Grace to do so. When we believe in our children, that God is in them and they come from His, having inherited His essence and His character, we can steward obedience by calling forth the Grace to obey.
