Getting to know us

About Us

We are a group of Christ followers coming from a variety of backgrounds and interests who are working together to build His Kingdom from the inside out. Our central focus is:

The Awe of God, the Intrinsic Value of People and Building Big and Well with Excellence

We come from all over and have built our community primarily over Zoom. Several of us met in person in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in July, 2025. We had a blast! See our photo below.

Our Team

Jean Andrews

Our fearless leader

Jean passionately loves and pursues God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. She leaves no stone unturned or sacred cow left undisturbed in her tenacity for God and His ways that would challenge any bulldog. She will one day be known as the very old lady who lived to her last day saying to God, “Father, what’s next?”

Margaret Barrett

Co-leader, advisor and board member of the non profit, the open Door inc

Margaret Barrett is a lover of God and people who delights in seeing others grow into all He created them to be. She has worn many hats over the years—from attorney, law firm owner and ministry leader to “Mimi” of three grandchildren—and loves helping people discover truth and freedom in Christ. When she’s not spending time with her 93-year-old mom or her three adult children, you’ll likely find her hosting friends, planning her next adventure, or staying active outdoors.

Scott Brink

Co-leader, advisor, Board member of The Open Door, Inc., our non profit

Scott is a retired military veteran with 26 years of distinguished service as an officer in aviation and operations. He flew combat missions in helicopters, transport aircraft, and special operations unmanned aircraft (drones). Now a commercial airline pilot, Scott also channels his leadership and vision into entrepreneurial ventures. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration.
A passionate advocate for Christian education, Scott is actively involved in school development, fostering revival and hope for future generations. Above all, he is a devoted Christian, husband, and father of four, committed to deepening his relationship with Jesus and cultivating a family culture rooted in unity with God.

Alexis Brand

Leader of our stewarding children efforts

Welcome to this community of friends in pursuit of the one who designed and fashioned us. My journey in many ways has been centered around receiving the truth of Gods love for me in discovering how He designed me to be. As someone who has often felt like I just don’t fit, the process of languaging and seeing the fingerprints of God on my life and flowing from that vine has been transformative.

My professional background is in early childhood education. I loved being a teacher and when I became a parent I chose to stay at home with my children. As my children transitioned from preschool into grade school years I asked the question, “how do I keep the love of learning as they grow?” The journey I’ve been on in exploring that question has been a magnificent one that to my surprise has led to great inner healing.

Welcome to the tribe!

JoAnn Daniel

intercessor

My journey seeking to know truth began as a child. Having experienced  emotional, sexual physical and spiritual abuse, I ɓecame passionate about understanding how to overcome the effects.  As a case manager for a battered woman’s shelter, I was a trained support group facilitator and served in this capacity for 20 years. Now, in my seventies, I’m still passionate about supporting others in this pursuit by building the Kingdom from the inside out.

David Turner

intercessor

I’ve retired from a successful 30 year career in computer support and am currently engaged in business intercession and property management with my wife at a lovely Montana retreat center. We are on an adventurous and challenging journey to understand and connect with God. In this current season, Father God invited me to connect with and learn from Jean. Her sincere heart and desire to pursue Him has taken me to new places that I am eager to walk out with her and the community of believers she has gathered. Stay open and keep growing is the theme here.

Tina VanYzendoorn

Our editor and encourager

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and sojourner in this world. One of my greatest joys is gathering around the table to eat good food with good friends who love to have conversations about our good God. My husband, Mike, and I live in Central Illinois and host a community in our home that we affectionately call Table Church.
